#MakeItVisible campaign

Satoplast International Ltd was pleased to welcome representatives from the Lighthouse Construction Industry Charity to our Sugar House Island project as part of their impactful #MakeItVisible campaign.
The visit formed part of our ongoing commitment to supporting mental health and wellbeing across our workforce and supply chain. The #MakeItVisible campaign plays a vital role in raising awareness of the support available to those working within the construction industry, helping to break down stigmas and encourage open conversations around mental health.
During the session, our site teams had the opportunity to engage directly, gain valuable insights, and better understand how to access the wide range of support services provided by the Lighthouse Charity.
We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Andy and Sam for taking the time to attend site, deliver such an important message, and support our workforce. Once again! Appointed to Deliver Interior Fit-Out for New University of Huddersfield / Study Group London Campus expansion at Sugar House Island.


Satoplast International Ltd is proud to announce the continued expansion of the University of Huddersfield / Study Group London Campus, following the successful delivery of the previous phase of interior fit-out and finishing works within the Sugar House Island development.
Located directly below the previously completed campus, this additional floor replicates the high-quality design and functionality of the original facility, further enhancing the University’s presence in Stratford, East London. The expansion forms part of the University’s ongoing strategic growth in partnership with Study Group — a global education provider dedicated to connecting students with leading universities worldwide.
This new phase provides additional state-of-the-art teaching and support spaces, seamlessly aligned with the existing campus above. The facility incorporates high-specification teaching rooms, breakout and collaboration areas, administrative offices, and student-focused social spaces, ensuring a consistent and cohesive learning environment across multiple floors.

Satoplast International Ltd Completes R3B Superstructure at Sugar House Island

Satoplast International Ltd is pleased to confirm the completion of the precast concrete superstructure for Plot R3B at the Sugar House Island development in Stratford, East London, in February 2026.
This key milestone marks significant progress within the wider R3/R4 waterfront residential scheme, providing a high-quality structural frame ready for the next phase of works.
Delivered through a well-coordinated installation programme, the works were completed safely, on schedule, and in close collaboration with the project team and supply chain partners.
As Principal Contractor, Satoplast International Ltd continues to drive the project forward, maintaining a strong focus on safety, quality, and programme certainty.

Satoplast International Ltd Awarded ‘Excellent’ NRMM Rating

Satoplast International Ltd is proud to announce that in November 2025 we achieved an ‘Excellent’ rating under the Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM) compliance scheme, recognising our commitment to reducing emissions and improving air quality across our construction operations.
The NRMM framework assesses how contractors manage, monitor, and maintain plant and machinery to ensure compliance with strict emissions standards, particularly within London’s air quality focus zones. Achieving an ‘Excellent’ rating reflects Satoplast’s proactive approach to environmental responsibility, including the use of compliant plant, robust verification processes, and strong collaboration with supply-chain partners to minimise environmental impact.
This rating further demonstrates Satoplast International Ltd’s ongoing dedication to sustainability, aligning with our ISO 14001 Environmental Management system and our wider commitment to delivering projects responsibly and in line with evolving industry expectations.

Tower Crane Erected on R3/R4 as Construction Commences at Sugar House Island

Satoplast International Ltd is pleased to announce a major milestone in the development of plots R3 and R4 at Sugar House Island, with the successful erection of the tower crane in September 2025. This marks the official commencement of main construction works on the waterfront residential buildings, which will deliver 244 high-quality apartments as part of Vastint’s ongoing regeneration of the area.
The installation of the tower crane represents the transition from enabling and preparatory works into full construction activity, enabling efficient delivery of the superstructure and façade elements in the months ahead. In August 2025, Satoplast International Ltd strengthened its commitment to sustainable construction by adding a new electric telehandler to our site plant fleet. The electric telehandler provides the same lifting capability and operational efficiency as traditional diesel models, while delivering significant environmental benefits. As principal contractor for the Sugar House Island construction project, Satoplast International Ltd is proud to announce our recent charitable initiative in collaboration with our subcontractors and client, Vastint.
In December 2024, with the assistance of our subcontractors and Vastint, we were able to make a generous donation to the local Salvation Army food bank, aiming to support those in need during the holiday season. This contribution reflects our collective commitment to giving back to the community and ensuring that no one goes hungry during this special time of year.

Building on the success of our first wellbeing initiative, Satoplast International Ltd is thrilled to announce the success of our second wellbeing event at our East London project, Sugar House Island.
This time, we partnered with the expert team at K2 Occupational Health to offer a range of essential health checks to our staff and subcontractors. The event focused on proactive health management, with screenings provided for:
- Blood Pressure
- Body Mass Index (BMI)
- Cholesterol Levels
- Diabetes
The event highlighted the importance of regular health monitoring, giving participants valuable insights into their health status and promoting healthier lifestyles. With the support of K2 Occupational Health, staff received not only thorough checks but also professional advice on maintaining and improving their overall wellbeing.

Satoplast International Ltd Joins the World Heart Day Challenge at Sugar House Island


At Satoplast International Ltd, we are committed to promoting health and wellbeing, both on and off the worksite. As part of this commitment, we proudly participated in the World Heart Day Challenge at our East London project, Sugar House Island.
The challenge, which took place on World Heart Day, involved a heart-shaped walk mapped out in the immediate local area. This initiative encouraged participants to embrace exercise and raise awareness about the importance of maintaining a healthy heart. Another Goal for Team Satoplast!!!!!
244 Apartments over 3 x blocks with a project value of 100m awarded.

Again VastintUK show their faith in us and we have been made Principal Contractor for Blocks R3B, R3A and R4 to provide 244 luxury BTR homes with extensive landscaping riverside to the canal basin.
This falls into the High Risk Buildings category under the Building Safety Act and Satoplast proved their competency to be the Principal Contractor and partner yet again with VastintUK.
The build is MMC and the complete façade a finished product including brick slips, glazing and internal walls conduit and electrical back boxes cast in the walls and walls receive a skim coat of plaster when on site minimising site trade activities.
Paul Millson FCIOB stated “The design and planning is key in this build and the team of VastintUK, Designers and Satoplast have to work hand in glove between now and November to get the design sign off and manufacture to start in Noveember for a meaningful start on site afresh 6th January 2025”.
June 2024 Update
Petrisor Munteanu Operations Director thanked and congratulated his team at Sugar House Island, whereby based on the excellent work being carried out at Sugar House Island for Vastint UK over the past 5 years, they have appointed Satoplast International Ltd to act as the development Site Wide Logistics Principal Contractor.
This covers but not limited to site security, traffic management, waste clearance electronic data capturing and delivery scheduling and Temporary Works design and installation and crane coordination between the various phases on this exciting 28acre development that has five years to run providing:-
- 1,200 homes with 40% 3-bed or more,
- 2hectares (3 acres) of open space including a riverside park
- Restaurants, Cafes and shops, all with an independent feel
- 350 bedroom hotel
- New bridges and canal basin areas linking the island to local communities.

Paul Millson FCIOB joined team Satoplast this month as our Production Director after being a consultant aiding our growth in the UK, Paul has had a career of hands on delivery as a Contractor & Developer working for SME and Tier 1 businesses and his 20years plus of strategic experience will support the team at Satoplast.
